    Open to All Neighborhood Groups     

SEW-IN---- August  23 and 24, Friday and Saturday

What is a Sew-In? It’s like a mini sewing retreat.  Bring your machines, fabric, notions and necessary supplies and join your sewing sisters for an enjoy­able, productive and fun filled two days.  You may come two days, or one day, or parts of days that work into your schedule.
Who?     All ASG members    Space is limited, so make reservations with Ro George.
When?   Friday, August 23, 9 am to 8 pm and Saturday August  24, 9 am to 4:30 pm
Where? Piecemakers, 1720 Adams Avenue, Costa Mesa  92626.  Phone714-641-3112       Located on north side of Adams between Brookhurst and Harbor Blvd and south of the 405 Frwy   Sewing Room/classroom in the main store.

Why?   To Sew, Sew, and then Sew some more!      Sew, Cut Out items, Plan, or Fit and Sew and share with Sewing Friends.  Ask for   assistance or ideas on your projects.

Cost?  Room is $150 total for both days.  We are asking for $5-$7 per person per day to cover room rental, depending on how many people come.  Tables, chairs, ironing boards and irons will be set up for us.  Lunch may be ordered from Piecemakers, purchased from neighboring restaurants or brought from home. You may come when it is convenient for you, one day or two; however, please register with Ro.

We are looking for members of the Orange County Chapter of the American Sewing Guild to contribute as guest bloggers here.  You can post about your sewing related trials, tribulations, successes and conundrums.  If you have gone to a conference and would like to share your experience, or if you would like to post a picture of a recent project and share it with fellow sewists, this is the place.  Just drop us a line at info@asg-oc.org and we will help you create the perfect blog post.

The OC Chapter's general meeting in May will focus on the technology advances for the sewing world. 
Bring your laptop, ipad or internet capable device, this is a member jam session on resources such as the ASG national website!
